PRODUCTION Păunescu Produces Giuseppe Tornatore’s Doc on Ennio Morricone

BUCHAREST: The Sight of Music/ Lo sguardo della musica by Giuseppe Tornatore, a docu-fiction produced by Bobby Păunescu through Mandragora Group in coproduction with Tornatore’s Piano B Produzioni is currently shooting with the premiere set for 2016.

The 110-minute film, based on the life and work of the 86-year-old Ennio Morricone will include interviews and reenactments. The interviews with the Italian composer in Europe have already been shot while the shooting for the LA interviews are still continuing.

The budget is 2.7 m EUR, Păunescu told FNE. He hopes to have the film finished and hopefully selected for the Cannes Film Festival 2016. Mandragora Group comprises the Romanian, French and American subsidiaries of Mandragora Movies.
