Recent editions of cocoWIP have included highly successful titles like KLONDIKE by Marina Er Gorbach (Ukraine/Turkey, Sundance Best Director Award 2022), SISTERHOOD by Dina Duma (North Macedonia/Kosovo/Montenegro/France, Karlovy Vary East of the West Competition Special Jury Award 2021), BRIGHTON 4TH by Levan Koguashvili (Georgia/ Bulgaria/Monaco/Russia/USA, Best International Film at Tribeca 2021) and THE WORD by Beata Parkanová (Czechia/Slovakia/Poland, Karlovy Vary Best Director Award 2022).
We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with major German post-production studio D-FACTO MOTION, who will sponsor the D-Facto Motion cocoWIP Award of €35,000 in-kind services plus €5,000 granted for additional expenses.
In addition, we are happy to announce a new award for our cocoWIP section, the Studio Beep Sound Postproduction Award, €6,000 in-kind services sponsored by the high-end studios based in the center of Prague, covering the full spectrum of sound and music solutions.
FFC NEWS: PICKASTORY AUDIENCE LOGLINE AWARD 2022
The FilmFestival Cottbus together with connecting Cottbus are once again organizing the Pickastory Audience Logline Award and invite filmmakers to submit a logline for a fresh film idea which has not yet been developed. The audience gets to vote for the logline of the story they want to see on the big screen. More info about Pickastory and eligibility here (entry deadline 24 August, 2022).
Producers and other industry representatives can apply to attend without a project until 10 October 2022.
