Stories connect people. In the case of film production, they connect us even in financial terms as so many European films and TV series can only come to life through the collaboration of producers from many different countries.

But how does co-production work? What funding are you eligible for if you and your co-producer are from different countries? Our workshop European Co-Production – Legal and Financial Aspects offers a comprehensive overview of the legal and financial elements of co-productions. Inside reports, hands-on tips, and interactive learning will support participating professionals in handling the changing complexities of European co-productions successfully.

Council of Europe Pilot Programme for Series Co-Production
    Calls for Projects and Partnerships
The Council of Europe already introduced a new three-year pilot program supporting high-quality series structured as international co-productions in August. The aim is to strengthen independent producers and cultivate new collaborations. The program covers two calls, one for projects and another for partnerships. Both of them are now open for submissions.

Series Co-Production Support facilitates final-stage funding of series co-productions with a top-up grant of either 250.000 or 500.000 euros. The submission deadline is October 31, 2023.

Four series co-production markets will host the Council of Europe Series Co-production Development Award valued at 50,000 Euros each. Markets may apply until October 17, 2023.
