The project "Film workshop for teenagers in Bolnisi" envisages the organization of a one-month workshop for 14-17-year-old schoolchildren, which consists of eight sessions in total. The duration of the session will remain 2-3 hours on average.
The film workshop will be organized every weekend from September 21 to October 13 at Bolnisi Adult Education Center. Address: Bolnisi, Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani Street 197.
The workshop program consists of both theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part of the workshop will be conducted by members of CinExpress editorial team: Lika Glurjidze, Alexander Gabelia, Giorgi Javakhishvili and Nini Shvelidze. CinExpress is an online platform and movement whose members are film researchers. The members of the group actively translate film literature, write about Georgian and world cinema, cover local and international film festivals, and in partnership with the Georgian Film Academy, hold film screenings at the Cinema House. Within the framework of the workshop, teenagers will have the opportunity to meet director Aleksandre Koberidze, cinematographer Giorgi Shvelidze and other representatives of the Association of Cinematographers of Georgia, art director Aniko Iakobashvili and philosopher Avtandil Dzamashvili.
During 8 sessions, adults will be able to:
* To get to know the history of Georgian and world cinema;
* To learn about feature and documentary cinema;
* To understand how their favorite scenes in the cinema were created and to expand their creative skills;
* To get practical knowledge about cinema, with the help of a film director, art director and cinematographer;
* Watch both short and full-length films (4 films in total) and engage in discussions about the films;
Working with teenagers within the framework of the film workshop consists of 3 main components:
* Lectures and experience sharing from film professionals;
* Film screenings and discussions;
* Practical work.
Adults participating in the project will be selected without competition, based on filling out the application. The deadline for receiving applications is September 10. Participation in the film workshop is free.

The goal of the project is to offer Bolnisi teenagers an opportunity to engage in creative processes in the face of a clear shortage of cultural life and spaces; to develop creative and critical analytical skills with the help of film art; to get to know interesting professionals working in the field, explore their experience and enthusiastically participate in cultural life.
Along with all this, the participants will have the opportunity to deliver their own contribution to the cinematic life of Bolnisi, which exists today around the Bolnisi cinema!
Film Workshop for Adults in Bolnisi is implemented within the framework of the "Creative Connections" grant component of the "Creative Compass" project, which promotes the emergence of alternative opportunities, exchange of knowledge and deepening of cooperative ties in the creative sector of the regions of Georgia.
