When the pilot commenced in July 2010, the goal was to offer Antenna Hungaria the opportunity to test and evaluate Motive's technology.
Throughout the pilot, Motive was able to demonstrate and implement its patented Bestv auto-record and data-casting software on-site, in conjunction with Antenna Hungaria systems. Motive has received positive feedback from Antenna Hungaria following the pilot test.
The technical pilot was a first step in the evaluation of Motive's technical platform for potential commercial introduction by Antenna Hungaria. Antenna Hungaria and Motive will continue to discuss the commercial introduction of the technology in the new year. The completion of this stage of the pilot, and potential future agreements with Antenna Hungaria, supports Motive Television's strategy to develop relationships with leading broadcasters worldwide.
Antenna Hungaria is the market leader of DTT in Hungary, offering seven free-to-air public and commercial digital television channels under the brand MinDig TV.
In 2010, Antenna Hungaria launched MinDig Extra, a high-value pay television service providing 11 additional channels via DTT.
Jean-Francois Fenech, CEO of Antenna Hungaria, said, "We were pleased to work with Motive and participate in the evaluation of the Bestv system in our network."
Len Fertig, CEO of Motive Television plc, added, "It has been a pleasure working with Antenna Hungaria and we look forward to continued cooperation in this exciting market."
