PORTOROŽ: Andrej Košak's fourth feature film All Aginst All / Vsi proti vsem will screen in the competition of the 22nd Festival of Slovenian Film in Portorož (17-22 September 2019). This Slovenian/Macedonian/Croatian coproduction is a political thriller drama set in an imaginary small town under the Alps.

PORTOROŽ: Miran Zupanič’s long documentary Sing Me a Song / Poj mi pesem will be screened in the competition of the 22nd Festival of Slovenian Film in Portorož (17-22 September 2019). This Slovenian/Bosnian coproduction portrays the famous Slovenian musician Vlado Kreslin.

PORTOROŽ: Metod Pevec's seventh feature film I Am Frank / Jaz sem Frenk will be screened in the competition of the 22nd Festival of Slovenian Film in Portorož (17-22 September 2019). This Slovenian/Croatian/Serbian/Macedonian coproduction is a story of two brothers as dissimilar as if each of them came from a different corner of the divided Slovenian society.

PORTOROŽ: Ema Kugler’s fifth feature film Man with Shadow / Človek s senco will be screened in the competition of the 22nd Festival of Slovenian Film in Portorož (17-22 September 2019).

PORTOROŽ: Gregor Božič’s debut feature Stories from the Chestnut Woods / Zgodbe iz kostanjevih gozdov will be screened in the competition of the 22nd Festival of Slovenian Film in Portorož (17-22 September 2019), after its world premiere at the Toronto IFF (5-15 September 2019).

LJUBLJANA: Miroslav Mandić is currently shooting his sixth feature Sanremo, a drama about aging. This Slovenian/Italian coproduction is being shot in Slovenia until 9 September 2019 and in Italy in October 2019.

PORTOROŽ: Seven Slovenian feature films and four long documentaries will be screened in the competition of the 22nd Festival of Slovenian Film in Portorož, which will run from 17 to 22 September 2019.

LJUBLJANA: Damjan Kozole’s Slovenian/Macedonian/Serbian/Croatian coproduction Half-Sister / Polsestra will have its premiere in the main competition of the 59th Karlovy Vary IFF, 28 June – 6 July 2019. Kozole won the Karlovy Vary Best Director award in 2016 for his film Nightlife (Vertigo).

LJUBLJANA: Tomaž Gorkič has finished his second feature, a horror comedy The Curse of Valburga, which he wrote, directed and edited. Gorkič won the Vesna Award for Best Feature Film at the 18th Festival of Slovenian Film for his 2015 debut feature Idyll / Idila (Blade production).

LJUBLJANA: The Italian-born Slovenian director Martin Turk is in post-production with his third feature film Don't Forget to Breathe / Ne pozabi dihati. The coming-of-age drama is produced by an all-female Slovenian/Croatian/Italian coproduction team. The producer Ida Weiss introduced the project at the Works in Progress presentation of the Zlin IFF on 29 May 2019.
