RIGA: Latvian director Dzintars Dreibergs is in production with his sophomore feature Escape Net / Tīklā. TTT leģendas dzimšana, a biopic about one of the world's most successful female basketball stars: Dzidra Karamiseva, the first Latvian woman to join the USSR national team.

TALLINN: Estonian directors Anastasia Zazhitskaya and Margus Õunapuu are currently in postproduction with their documentary On Silver Heels / Hõbekontsadel, which is an independent 100% Estonian coproduction about a team of amateur female hockey players.

RIGA: The Latvian brothers and directors Raitis and Lauris Ābele are putting the final touches on their new project, an adult folk tale and rotoscope animation Dog of God / Dieva suns, for which they are looking for a sales agent.

WARSAW: FNE spoke to Karolina Śmigiel and Katarzyna Ślesicka, film programmers of Let's Doc, about the general goals and activities of the festival and about the involvement of the young audience in it.

VILNIUS: The Lithuanian Film Centre has distributed 4,514,130 EUR as production grants for six feature films, seven documentaries, five animated films and six minority coproductions.

RIGA: Latvian director Kristaps Brize is currently in postproduction with his debut feature Banana Boat / Banāns Upē, which has been picked up by the French/UK sales agent Alief during Berlinale’s European Film Market 2024.

TALLINN: The Estonian Film Institute distributed 6,062,300 EUR as production grants for feature, documentary and animated films in 2023.

RIGA: Latvian director, writer and producer Juris Poškus is currently in production with his feature film Call Me Calendar / Kalendārs mani sauc. The project has already received support from the National Film Centre of Latvia and the Lithuanian Film Centre.

BUDAPEST: Hungarian director/writer Mihály Schwechtje is currently in postproduction with his feature film A Hunt for Hedgehogs / Sünvadászat, which is an independent, 100% Hungarian coproduction.
