VILNIUS: The new project by Lithuanian director/editor Eimantas Belickas, the long documentary Generation.eu / Karta.eu, is built around the fact that on 1 May 2004, some 50 children were born in Lithuania at the same time with Lithuania's integration into the European Union. The experiences, searches and journeys of a generation are captured in documentary cinema.

VILNIUS: The new project by Lithuanian director/writer/producer Romas Zabarauskas is the feature film The Writer, which is currently in postproduction. The first film in English by Zabarauskas is a coproduction between Lithuania, Germany and the USA.

VILNIUS: Acclaimed Lithuanian director/writer Algimantas Puipa’s new project is the feature film Midnight Show / Vidurnakčio seansas, whose filming is due to start in September 2023.

LIMASSOL: The Fishbowl by Puerto Rico-based Glorimar Marrero Sánchez was awarded as Best Beature Film at the 21th Cyprus Film Days International Film Festival, which ran 21 - 29 April 2023 at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol and the Zena Palace cinema in Nicosia.

BUDAPEST: Hungarian director/writer/producer Gábor Dettre is currently in postproduction with his feature film Silent Night / Csendes éj, which was entirely crowfounded through a campaign that ran from December 2022 to January 2023. The film will be released in Hungarian cinemas on Christmas 2023.

LIMASSOL: FNE correspondent and film critic Alexander Gabelia spoke to Danae Stylianou, head of Dot.on.the.Μap Industry Days, about the general goals and activities of the industry platform and its projects in 2023.

BUDAPEST: Hungarian film director/writer Dénes Nagy is currently in production with his long documentary Kurtág, in which he follows the acclaimed Hungarian composer György Kurtág throughout Europe. The film is estimated to be finished in 2024.

VILNIUS: Zvonimir Munivrana is currently in postproduction with his feature film I Am Not Like That / Nisam takva, which is estimated to be finished in 2023. The project participated in the Coming Soon pitching session at Meeting Point – Vilnius, which was held within the 28th Vilnius International Film Festival Kino Pavasaris (16 – 26 March 2023).

VILNIUS: Moroccan director Yassine Marco Marroccu is currently in production with his feature film Scirocco. This Hungarian/Moroccan project participated in the Coming Soon pitching session at Meeting Point – Vilnius, held within the 28th Vilnius International Film Festival Kino Pavasaris (16 – 26 March 2023).
