ANNECY: FNE spoke to Ildiko Takacs, Hungarian Tribute Programme director and executive producer, about Annecy International Animation Film Festival (8 – 14 June 2025), where Hungary is the guest country this year. The most prestigious animation film festival in the world will showcase Hungary’s film industry, creators, studios, and educational institutions.

ANNECY: FNE spoke to Hungarian producer Zsuzsanna Vincze about Damján Lazin's short animated film Ergot, as well as the Hungarian animation industry, the challenges of making animation, and the role of international coproductions.

LIMASSOL: Cypriot director /screenwriter Marinos Kartikkis has completed his new feature film Diversion / Ektropi, which was backed by the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Culture.

LIMASSOL: Cypriot director/screenwriter Myrsini Aristidou is currently in postproduction with her debut feature Hold onto Me / Krata Me, which is a coproduction between Cyprus, Denmark and Greece made in joint participation with the United States.

VILNIUS: Lithuanian filmmaker Kristijonas Vildžiūnas has wrapped shooting on his drama fantasy Dice-ching-o-mat. The film produced by Uljana Kim is a coproduction between Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Luxembourg.

VALLETTA: Following the theatrical triumph of Kaamelott - Part One in 2021, French director Alexandre Astier shot the French/Belgian sequel Kaamelott - Part Two in Malta in October 2024. The production serviced by DO Productions Malta was supported by Malta Commission through the Screen Malta 40% cash rebate.

VILNIUS: Acclaimed Lithuanian director Šarūnas Bartas’s feature Back to the Family, which premiered at the 54th International Rotterdam Film Festival, will screen in a number of festivals including the Cinema South Festival (Israel, 19 - 26 June 2025). Back to the Family is a Lithuanian/French/Polish/Latvian coproduction.

BRATISLAVA: FNE spoke to Ada Solomon, renowned Romanian producer, about the 12th edition of the Visegrad Film Forum (VFF), which took place in Bratislava from 19 to 22 March 2025. There, she was a special guest, as well as her coproductions with Central and Eastern European countries.

VILNIUS: In March 2025, Vilnius hosted film crews from Estonia, Sweden, Ukraine, the USA and Lithuania, who were engaged in a total of 11 filming projects. These encompassed a variety of productions, including feature films, a television series, and international advertisements.
