WARSAW: Discovery and Cyfrowy Polsat have signed a joint venture agreement to create a joint VoD platform that will offer productions of TVN Group, Telewizja Polsat and external entities. The current Player.pl and Ipla.tv held by the companies' platforms will continue to operate.

WARSAW: The 7th EMiGRA Film Festival takes place from 24 to 27 October in Warsaw, organised by the Mazovia Culture Institute. WARSAW: Polish drama Corpus Christi directed by Jan Komasa opened in the number 2 spot at the Polish box office with 170,000 admissions over the 10 – 13 October 2019 weekend. The film has also been sold to 35 territories internationally so far through sales rep New Europe Film Sales.

WARSAW: Janusz Kondratiuk, Polish director, creator of memorable comedies and younger brother of director Andrzej, to whose memory he devoted his last, famous film Like a Dog with a Cat, died on 7 October 2019 in Łoś near Warsaw. He was 76 years old.

WARSAW: The 6th Kids Kino International Film Festival was visited by over 28,000 viewers during the nine festival days in 23 cinemas across Poland.

A record number of over 28,000 viewers visited the nine-day festival, which took place in 23 cinemas across Poland. The festival concluded on 29 September 2019.
