WARSAW: Warsaw-based sales agent New Europe Film Sales has acquired worldwide rights to the Latvian coming-of-age drama Mother, I Love You (Mammu, es Tevi mīlu) by Jānis Nords.

WARSAW: Polish commercial broadcaster Polsat signed a preliminary agreement to buy Polskie Media S.A., which broadcasts channels TV4 and TV6, for 99 m PLN (23.6 m EUR).

KATOWICE: Polish filmmaker and visual artist Teresa Czepiec is developing a documentary that explores the life and workings of a major residential block in Katowice.

WARSAW: Public broadcaster TVP has signed an agreement with the regional public German broadcaster MDR that will increase co-operation between the two stations.

WARSAW: Polish director Marcin Wronais working on Daemon, an adaption of the Polish theater play Przylgnięcie (Adherance) written by Piotr Rowiecki about a paranormal presence.

WARSAW:  Animation directors Tomasz Leśniak, Jakub Tarkowski and Wojtek Wawszczyk are working on Tim and The Master, an adaptation of a graphic novel by Rafał Skarżycki (script) and Tomasz Lew (graphics). 

WARSAW: Anna Kazejak, director of Flying Pigs, is in the process of casting teenagers for her dramatic feature film Słowo.
