WARSAW: Danish director Mads Matthiensen is filming on his second feature, a Danish-Polish coproduction entitled The Model.

TALLINN: Katrin Maimik’s coming-of-age debut film Cherry Tobacco (Kirsitubakas), written by Andres Maimik, screens in the Estonian Tridens Film Award competition at the Black Nights Film Festival running through 30 November 2014 in Tallinn.  

WARSAW: A new TVP and BBC Worldwide co-production is an epic drama set during WWI. It will premiere this November both in UK and Poland. The show's Polish producer is Apple Film Production.

WARSAW: Gods, the winner of the 39th Gdynia Film Festival has racked up 1.149 m admissions within three weeks since its premiere.

WARSAW: Polish director Łukasz Palkowski ‘s Gods is set to hit UK screens today, 24 October, distributed by Project London Productions Ltd that also distributed other Polish box office hits in UK cinemas such as Andrzej Wajda’s Walesa. WROCŁAW: Shooting on the ZDF docudrama Roads To Auschwitz...Staying Alive Was Not An Option directed by Oliver Halmburger has started in Wrocław.

WROCŁAW: Steven Spielberg will shoot part of his new drama St. James Place starring Tom Hanks in Wrocław in November.

COTTBUS: Twelve feature films from 17 countries will compete for the main prize at the 24th Film Festival Cottbus.

WARSAW: Another Love Building is a sequel to Romania's 2013 box office hit Love Building written by Iulia Rugină, Oana Răsuceanu and Ana Agopian. "Our first feature project was very low-budget but extremely successful. Since it generated over 27,000 viewers we decided to go ahead and create the sequel," Oana Răsuceanu told FNE.

WARSAW: Jakub Duszyński, artistic director at Gutek Film has once again been chosen to co-head Europa Distribution, this time alongside Laurent Dutoit and Gabor Boszormenyi.
