Dominion Malta will take more clues from the feature film Jurassic World Dominion (2022) by Colin Trevorrow, which was partially shot in Malta (Valletta, Birgu, Floriana, Mellieħa and Pembroke) in the summer of 2020. 

Jurassic World Dominion was intensively promoted by the Malta Film Commission, which aims at attracting more blockbusters to shoot in Malta. In the summer of 2022, the Malta Film Commission exhibited three dinosaur models in Valletta, Birgu and Mellieha as part of its Screen Tourism strategy to attract more film tourists.

Jurassic World Dominion was the first blockbuster to mention Malta in the script.
