WARSAW: Unifrance, the Institut Français in Poland and Warsaw’s Kino Muranów are organising the 16th edition of the French Film Festival in Poland. The event takes place 4 - 11 June at the Muranów cinema in Warsaw, and till 2 July 2025 in Białystok, Kraków, Katowice, Łódź, Lublin, Poznań, Rzeszów, Szczecin, Toruń, Wrocław, Zamość, and Gdańsk.

CANNES: The new project by László Nemes is a French biopic of the French Resistance hero Jean Moulin, starring French actor Gilles Lellouche and German actor Lars Eidinger. The film’s rights have been acquired by newly-launched 193, which is showcasing the project in the Cannes Film Market (13 – 21 May 2025).

BUDAPEST: Charlène Favier’s sophomore feature Oxana screened at the new Hello Margit! Arts festival in Budapest ahead of its theatrical release in Hungary by Mozinet.

FNE together with UNIFRANCE is launching the Year of French Central European Films 2025 with a special focus on French films in Central and Eastern European countries plus Cyprus and Malta, and our partner countries’ films screening in France.

LJUBLJANA: The 13th edition of the Francophone Film Festival was held at the Kinodvor Cinema and the Slovenian Cinematheque in Ljubljana from 20 to 26 March 2025, organised by the French Institute in Slovenia.

BUDAPEST: The Francophone Film Days took place in Budapest from 27 February to 9 March, and it continues in Hungary till 31 March 2025. This year, the festival presents 23 titles over nearly 200 screenings in 18 towns.
