A mythical couple, Fatima Pintorovic and Hasan Arapovic, are divorcing under strange circumstances. The divorce will lead one of them to death and leave their five children orphans. As they attempt to discover the real reason behind Fatima’s and Hasan’s divorce, they will share with the audience the moving stories of their own lives in today’s post-war Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Adis Đapo and Aida Begić are producing through Film House Sarajevo. Adis Đapo told FNE that the project “will start the international funding in the coming months.”
“At the moment we only have one coproducing partner confirmed, the French company Les Films de l'Après Midi. They are our old partners as they have been involved in both of Aida's previous films. As for the support, thus far we have secured development support from Creative Europe and also automatic support for production in Bosnia and Herzegovina from the BH Film Fund as the director/producer team who had a previous film at one of the A-list festivals receives automatic support for their next joint project.,” Adis Đapo told FNE.
The budget is 1.5 m EUR with 150,000 EUR already secured. Shooting is scheduled ideally for 2016.
