FESTIVALS: Sofia Grand Prix for Stories Only Exist When Remembered

    {mosimage}SOFIA: Stories Only Exist When Remembered, a coproduction from Brazil, Argentina, and France directed by Julia Murat, took the Grand Prix in the International Competition of the Sofia IFF (18-29 March 2012, siff.bg), while the bulk of the remaining prizes went to Balkan films.

    For best film in the International Competition
    (diploma, sculpture and a prize of 5000 Euro)

    (a prize of 1000 Euro, provided by UNESCO)

    SOFIA AWARD

    The Sofia Award for outstanding contribution in cinema is a joint initiative of Sofia Municipality and Sofia International Film Festival. The award was first handed out in 2005 by the Mayor of Sofia under whose patronage the festival takes place. Since then, 27 individuals from Bulgarian and International cinema were honoured with the prestigious award.
