Bulgarian crew detained

Three members of a Bulgarian National TV crew were arrested in Macedonia while filming in the town of Bitola on August 15.

According to the Sofia News Agency, director Konstantin Chakarov and two of his crew were taken to a police station and questioned after they filmed views of the town for films about the first and second Balkan wars.

The three were released after intervention by the local consul. Police said the crew had filmed a secret base and that the video was a threat to national security.
