photographer: Markus BernetZAGREB: While Croatia’s service sector recorded an overall annual growth of 5.8% in May 2026, film, video, and television production (along with sound recording and music publishing) emerged as the single biggest winner, surging by an impressive 28.4% year-on-year.
This massive bump in screen production helped power the country's service turnover up 6.2% across the first five months of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025.
Screen production and audio publishing outperformed every other service branch—including real estate (+17.7%) and tourism (+11.2%), according to Total Croatia News.
