The movie was shot entirely on the island of Cyprus and proves that financial crisis can be overcome with minimum resources.
Given the drastic cut in local film, the story manages to take the best from less. Shooting took 17 days over the summer of 2013 and at over 25 locations. Committed has the structure of a road movie and follows a man unable to commit and a runaway bride driving across the sunny countryside of Cyprus.
The film is a coproduction between the Pouroulis Foundation, AMP Filmworks and Stelana Kliris, in association with Fullmoon Productions, AB Seahorse Film Productions and Hellenic TV. The project also benefitted from a crowd-funding campaign, the support of the Hellenic Diaspora and an “angel investor”, according to the producers. This angel investor is Poroulis Foundation
Stelana Kliris and Marios Piperides are producing. The film stars Melia Kreiling and Orestis Sophocleous. Stephan Metzner is the DoP.
