NICOSIA: Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture announced the winners of the official funding programme for 2016-2017. The Ministry allotted 85,500 EUR as script development grants for low budget feature films and 239,000 EUR as short films production grants.
Grants were given to a total of 23 projects, of which 14 are short films receiving production grants. The suggestions were made by the nine members of the Cinema Advisory Committee.
The list of the short films includes two documentaries and one animated film.
