{mosimage}PLZEN: Czech director and screenwriter Bohdan Slama brings his Sundance screened drama Four Suns to Plzen, where it screens in the main competition of the national Czech film festival FINALE.

The film was completed in early 2012 for a Czech release on 8 March 2012. It was still in the top 20 box office films in its fifth week in distribution, with nearly 45,000 admissions.

The 90-minute Czech-German coproduction is produced by Pavel Strnad of Negativ (www.negativ.cz) along with coproducers Czech TV (www.ceskatelevize.cz) and Pallas Film. The central character, Fogi, is played by the relatively unknown (internationally) actor Jaroslav Plesl. Fogi, an unwed father who has stayed mired in adolescent behavior, lives with his working class girlfriend Anna, played by Czech star Ana Geislerova.

Slama achieved international acclaim with his debut film Wild Bees (2001) as well as his 2005 film Something Like Happiness (main prize at San Sebastian IFF) and his last film, The Country Teacher.
