FESTIVALS: The 8th Anifilm Announces Lineup

    TREBON: A total of 132 films were selected for the five competitive sections of the 8th edition of Anifilm International Animated Film Festival set to take place in Trebon from 2 to 7 May 2017.

    The festival organises the following international competitions: long animated feature films for grown-ups and children respectively, short films, student films, music videos and abstract and non-narrative animation.

    European films dominate the competition of long animated films. Thirty-five short animated films will compete, including films made by students of Prague's Film Academy (FAMU), the Tomas Bata University in Zlin and the University of West Bohemia.

    The guest list includes Australian animator Adam Elliot.
