    JIHLAVA: Erik Praus’s Slovak documentary about three monks, The Calling / Volanie, screens in the Between the Seas competition of the 23rd Ji.hlava IDFF, which runs through 29 October 2019.

    The 80-minutes documentary essay observes three monks seeking inner peace and a purpose to life at a beautiful monastery in the Ukraine. The film was shot in 2016 and 2017 and had its premiere at Art Film Fest Fest in Kosice in June 2019.

    The film was produced by Peter Nevedal for Filmpark Production and the Slovak Radio and Television. It is scheduled to be released by the Slovak Association of Film Clubs on 31 October.
