TALLINN: Eurimages has given its first Co-Production Development Award to Motherland by writer/director Tomas Vengris and producer Uljana Kim from Lithuania.
The film will be a story about immigration as seen through the perspective of a young boy. The award came with a prize of 20,000 EUR. Thirteen projects were in contention for the award.
The award was presented at the Baltic Event at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. It was the first time Eurimages gave an award there.
