    SAUNA DAY World Premiere at Cannes!

    The new short film Sauna Day (directed by Anna Hints and Tushar Prakash) will premiere as the first Estonian film in the special programme of La Semaine de la Critique at Cannes Film Festival.

    The short film takes you to the world of Southern Estonian men, who go to the dark-intimate space of a smoke sauna after a hard day's work. Beneath their tough exteriors lies a desire for connection, veiled in secrecy.

    The New Producers Room presents and supports 10 up-and-coming short film producers who already produced at least two short films.

    Kadriann Kibus was selected through the Baltic Pitching Forum (an industry event aimed at filmmakers from the Baltic countries) where she has successfully participated in several projects and stood out. Kadriann Kibus is a talented Estonian filmmaker and producer. Her production company Rebel Frame focuses primarily on the production of documentaries and animated films.

    Tallinn Black Nights Goes to Cannes showcase

    Tallinn Black Nights Goes to Cannes showcase will be held on Saturday 18 May 2024 from 14:00 – 15:50 (Palais K, Palais des Festivals). Goes to Cannes enables film festivals or markets around the world to showcase a curated selection of original works-in-progress by most promising talents.

    Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival will also participate at Festivals Hub - an exclusive program and venue designed specifically to welcome and connect film festival and market directors, programmers & industry leaders.

    The Festivals Hub programme runs from the 14th until the 22th of May and is yet to be announced.
