Georgia Gives Grants to Animated Shorts


    TBILISI: The Georgian National Film Center gave 54,000 EUR / 150,000 GEL for the production of two short animated films for children.

    The winning projects are Pocket Man by Anna Chubinidze, produced by Studio Kvali XXI and Zolemia by Nina Samanishvili, produced by K. Janelidze. Each of them received 27,000 EUR / 75,000 GEL.

    The two winning projects were selected from four projects which passed the first round of the contest. The grants were announced on 10 February 2016. GNFC announced the debut feature production grants on 24 January 2016.
