credit: Kristine JurjaneRIGA: The Riga International Film Festival has launched, in cooperation with the Norwegian Film Clubs Association (NFK), the children and young audience educational project RIGA IFF Cinema Club, consisting of 10 video lessons dedicated to the study of the moving image.
In the lessons led by director and actor Klāvs Mellis, representatives of various film professions, including the master of animation Edmunds Jansons, artist Kristīne Jurjāne, director Alise Zariņa and cameraman Gints Bērziņš, among others, talk about the role of their profession in the making of a film.
The lessons are complemented by a selection of Norwegian children's and youth films, as well as working materials created together with the Riga Film Museum.
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region. The webportal and FNE newswire was chosen as the MAIN TOOL to achieve the network’s objectives of the sharing of know how, visibility of regional cultural diversity and finally the VOICE of the region.
FNE’s objectives include VISIBILITY for the region and AUDIENCES for films by providing a special focus on the region.
