The film won the MEDIA New Talent Award in 2007 at Cannes and represented Lithuania at the international competition of Young Screen Entrepreneur of the Year, organized by the British Council (www.britishcouncil.org).

Anarchy in Žirmūnai is an ironic drama about a provincial girl grappling with the world of a big city - a world that suddenly shows its unpredictable dark sides. The film was produced by Tremora (www.tremora.com), managing producer Ieva Norviliene, along with Hungary's Katapul Film(www.katapult-film.com), managing producers Ivan Angelusz and Peter Reich. The budget was €100,000.

The film was funded by Lithuanian Ministery of Culture (www.lrkm.lt), the Lithuanian Culture and Sport Support Foundation (www.ksrf.lt) and EU program MEDIA (www.ec.europa.eu).
