Lonely Valentin Hits the Target in Lithuania

VILNIUS: A five country release proved to be a February hit for the romantic comedy Lonely Valentin with 158,253 admissions and box office of637,625 EUR in Lithuania since it premiered on 8 February 2013.

The film was also distributed in Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Great Britain, the countries with the largest Lithuanian diaspora, which had additional admissions of more than 2,000. The Lithuanian results outperformed recent blockbusters including The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Skyfall, Men in Black 3. The numbers are already closing in on last year’s Tadas Blinda. The Beginning, which holds Lithuania’s all time box office and attendance record.

Both Lonely Valentin and Tadas Blinda. The Beginning were produced by LITLBAZ and BULVE Production with producer Žilvinas Naujokas.

Valentinas Vienas (Lonely Valentin), it‘s producer Žilvinas Naujokas announced his upcoming projects that are planned to premiere next winter. Lonely Valentin is distributed by ACME Film.

Thecast includes more than ten famous Lithuanian celebrities, and the leading role – single Valentin, desperately searching for love – is played by Lithuanian theater and TV star Vytautas Šapranauskas.
