Lithuania Announces 2014 Grants

    VILNIUS: The Lithuanian Film Centre will distribute 2,082,368 EUR to 40 projects in 2014.

    The total includes 1,878,042 EUR to 23 film production projects consisting of eight feature films, one short film, seven documentaries, two short documentaries and five short animation films. Another 204,326 EUR went to 17 development projects.

    For the first time Lithuania is giving support to three minority coproductions: Sanatorium of Ashes (Latvia) by Davis Simanis, Vilnius–Inter 96‘ (Finland) by Mikko Kuparinen and The Man Who Knew 75 Languages (Norway)  by Anne Magnussen.

    The biggest grants of 405,468 EUR each went to Escaping Sunshine by Allan van O.T. Andersen, produced by Era Film and Seneca’s Day by Kristijonas Vildžiūnas, produced by Uljana Kim & Co.
