The Lithuanian Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Education and Science has announced a competition for €300,000 (1 million LTL) to be granted for a film in honor of the centennial of the birth of Czesław Miłosz, the Nobel prize winning Polish poet of Lithuanian origin.

Applications are accepted until February 4. The Lithuanian parliament, like the Polish, has declared 2011 to be the Year of Milosz.

The contest is open to applicants with documentary film or TV series projects.
