The programme starts with a film night dedicated to Serbian film auteur and Golden Bear winner Želimir Žilnik and a screening of his film Early Works / Rani radovi (1969, produced by Serbian Avala Film and Neoplanta film).

The summer drive-in cinema in Ohrid will open on 23 June 2023, while the Youth Cultural Center will start its open-air traveling cinema in several cities on 9 June 2023 as part of the warm-up programme for the 22nd edition of Cinedays European Film Festival, which will take place in several open-air locations in Skopje 13 - 18 July 2023.

3D Cinema Bitola is also preparing to begin with open-air cinema during the summer months, as well as the Cultural-Informative Center in Makedonska Kamenica.

The Skopje Summer Festival will also organise open-air screenings in the Old Skopje Bazaar later this summer. In addition, the 5th Beach Film Festival Ohrid will be held in several open-air locations 20 - 24 July 2023.
