Rob Lowe is currently in Malta and the series will premiere on Sky 1 later this year. Other shooting locations are the UK and South Africa.

The series tells the story of a group of strangers whose lives collide as an eight-mile wide asteroid plummets towards Earth. The cast includes Matthew Baynton, Megan Mullally, Pauline Quirke and Paterson Joseph.

According to Malta Today, Tourism Minister Edward Zammit Lewis said that an ever-increasing number of high profile productions are scheduled to take place in Malta this year.
