FESTIVALS: Polish Focus at Mar del Plata

WARSAW: Agnieszka Holland's Polish Oscar hopeful In Darkness (www.zebrafilm.pl) and Paula Markovitch's debut film El Premio, a Mexican/French/Polish/German coproduction, will screen in the main competition of the 26^th Mar del Plata IFF.

The festival also screens three filims in a special Poland in Focus section: The Mole (www.metrofilms.com) starring Borys Szyc and directed by Rafael Lewandowski; The Courage directed by Greg Zgliński (www.opusfilm.com); and Rose (www.wfdif.com.pl).directed by Wojciech Smarzowski. All of the films received funding from the Polish Film Institute (www.pisf.pl).
