    -  Cinema consist out of filmmakers: directors, screenwriters, actors and DoPs and the focus of the viewers and the media falls mainly on them. But the success of cinema comes not only from those who created. It is also driven from the people who work everyday to make this success happen, but they are invisible to us. Their passion and involvement makes us understand cinema better and love it even more. We dedicate our awards to the people who manage cinemas, promote the films, those who write about film and trough their work enable the artist to have a dialogue with the viewer." said Assignees Dormice during the event.

The Polish Film Institute Awards were presented for the 6th time in several categories, all connected to film promotion.
