Stuhr shot the film at the end of 2013 in Warsaw and Lodz. The drama is produced by Opus Film and coproduction by ITI Cinema.

"I want to show the viewpoint of my generation, which had such a colorful life and witnessed so many significant historic events" Stuhr told FNE while shooting the film. "My film will follow the life of one man starting in the 1950's up to contemporary times. My son will play my hero in his youth and I will take on the task to direct myself and play him for the last 20 years." The DoP is Paweł Edelman.

The budget is 5.1m PLN (1.2m EUR) with a 2.3m PLN grant from the Polish Film Institute.
