The film is an adaptation of Włodzimierz Kowalewski’s novel following the world of espionage and jazz in the 50's. Kowalewski also wrote the script. Maciej Stuhr plays the leading character, a jazzman called Fabian, and the cast includes Sonia Bohosiewicz, Joanna Kulig, Anna Dymna, Wojciech Pszoniak and Wiktor Zborowski.
The Polish jazzman Wojciech Karolak composed the original music for the film. Shooting took place in March - May 2015.
The film is produced by WFDiF in coproduction with Agora with a budget of 1.6 m EUR / 7 m PLN. The project was granted 712,000 EUR / 3 m PLN by the Polish Film Institute (www.pisf.pl).
Next Film will distribute the film domestically starting 1 January 2016.
