Summer Solstice is a coming of age story about a young German soldier and his Polish peers, three sensitive teenagers facing the cruel reality ofwar and of the differences that can't be overcome. The Polish-German castincludes Filip Piotrowicz, Jonas Nay, Urszula Bogucka, Maria Samotiuk,Steffen Scheumann, Bartłomiej Topa and Gerdy Zint.

This Polish-German project is produced by Prasa i Film and Sunday Filmproduktions in coproduction with Martens Film und Fernsehproduktions, Telewizja Polska, RundfunkBerlin-Brandenburg, Synchron- Und Tonstudio Leipzig, Odra-Film, Studio Produkcyjne Orka and WFDiF.

The budget was 2.4 mEUR / 10.3 m PLN of which 474,000 EUR / 2 m PLN received from the Polish Film Institute. The film was also supported by the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg,Deutscher Filmförderfonds and Filmförderanstalt. Shooting took placeon location in Poland and Germany in autumn 2013 .

The date of the Polish premiere has not yet been announced. Wide Management is handling the international sales.
