Małgorzata Szumowska Joins Competition Jury at Berlin Film Festival

WARSAW: Polish director Małgorzata Szumowska, who won Silver Bear and Best Director ex-aequo for Body at Berlin Film Festival 2015, is joining the Competition Jury of the 66th edition of the festival, which kicks off on 11 February 2016.

The other members of the Competition Jury are: German actor Lars Eidinger, British film critic Nick James, French photographer Brigitte Lacombe, British actor Clive Owen and Italian actress Alba Rohrwacher. The president of the jury is Meryl Streep.

Małgorzata Szumowska was also a member of the Shooting Stars jury in 2015. In 2013 her feature film In the Name Of, selected for the Competition of Berlinale, received the Teddy Award. The film was produced by MD4 in coproduction with Zentropa International Poland, Canal+ and Shot Szumowski
