PRODUCTION: Wiesław Saniewski Shoots Squadron 303

    WARSAW: Wiesław Saniewski‘s Squadron 303, the long awaited adaptation of Arkady Fiedler's bestselling novel about Polish pilots who fought in the Battle of Britain, is currently in production. Jerzy Skolimowski, James McManus and Ewa Piaskowska wrote the script.

    Maciej Zakościelny and Piotr Adamczyk were cast in the leads and the cast includes international actors, who are not yet confirmed. The film is produced by Jacek Samojłowicz through Film Media S.A. with a budget of 3.2 m EUR / 14 m PLN, of which 465,839 EUR / 2 m PLN is covered by a production grant from the Polish Film Institute.

    The film is planned as a 110 min production, of which 30 min will be air fighting scenes made on CGI. Shooting launched in Warsaw on 10 August 2016 and later on the crew will move to Cracow and the UK. Shooting is planned to wrap in July 2017.

    Kino Świat will release the film in the second half of 2017.
