Volta is a crime comedy with different historical backgrounds, including the present as well as the 14th, 16th and the 20th century. The all-star cast includes Olga Bołądź, Andrzej Zieliński and Aleksandra Domańska in the leads, accompanied by Tomasz Kot, Robert Więckiewicz and Antoni Pawlicki.
Shooting launched in Lublin on 18 August 2016 and will wrap there at the end of August 2016, before moving to Warsaw for a couple of days.
The final budget has not yet been announced, but the production has already received 462,000 EUR / 2 m PLN from the Polish Film Institute and a total of 207,370 EUR / 900,000 PLN from the Lublin Film Fund.
The film is set in Lublin and is one of the projects that will promote the city in 2017 on the occasion of the city’s 700th anniversary.
