"TVN is consequently building its leading position in the VOD market, which is developing quickly. We are continuing our digital first strategy and along with Gamellon we will support young talent in creating and monetising internet productions made as branded entertainment. This will allow us to offer our advertisers new forms of communication with young Polish and CEE region viewers," TVN president Jim Samples told FNE.
Gamellon was launched in 2015 and is currently working with almost 100 Youtube channels with a total of 19 m subscribers and 150 m views of videos that they broadcast. This transaction will allow the youtubers affiliated with Gamellon to use TVN's production infrastructure. The station is planning to have them involved in TVN's shows available both on air and on VOD.
In April 2016 TVN created TVN Emotion Studio to produce over 100 hours of content annually for its VOD service Player.pl and create original video formats for the web and mobile applications that are compatible with all social media platforms.
