A total of 22 projects applied to Silesia Film Fund for the 2017 funding session. The producers that received coproduction grants are obliged to spend 150% of the grant amount in the region.

The biggest grant of 200,000 PLN / 47,503 EUR was assigned to Dziennik z wycieczki do Budapesztu directed by Rafał Kapeliński and produced by Domino Film, followed by a 150,000 PLN / 35,414 EUR grant to a new drama from Paweł Pawliskowski entitled Zimna wojna / Cold War, produced by Opus Film.
