Polish-German coproduction meeting in Warsaw

By Katarzyna Grynienko
Central and East European based filmmakers will have a chance to pitch their ideas to Polish and German producers during a special Warsaw meeting in May 2009.
Dragon Forum (www.dragonforum.pl), a workshop program for documentary filmmakers, and Planete Doc Review Festival (www.docreview.pl) are organizing the coproduction meeting. Dragon Forum told FNE that the event will take place in cooperation with the INPUT Conference, also based in Warsaw this year, with details yet to be unveiled.

Several filmmakers will have a chance to pitch the ideas that could appeal to both Polish and German producers. The projects can be at different stages of development (an idea, a script, fund research, or closing the budget). The meeting will host leading Polish and German film professionals and representatives of film funding institutions. The Polish Film Institute (www.pisf.pl), German Films (www.german-films.de), AG Doc, The Polish Filmmakers Association (www.sfp.org.pl) and Regional Funds (Fundusze Regionalne) have already confirmed their presence at this event.

The list of participants is still open. Interested filmmakers can send their application including information about themselves and their project, as well as production details, to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
