Attention all FIPRESCI members coming to Cannes

    Be one of the first 5 to sign up for the FNE FIPRESCI Cannes Critics ratings and we will send you a beautiful box set of DVD classic Oscar candidate films!

    This year for the first time in Cannes FNE together with FIPRESCI will offer the ratings of features films in all sections of the official Cannes IFF programme by international critics attending the Festival. 

    If you are attending Cannes and are a member of FIPRESCI, please send email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and register. 

    During The Festival you will be able to rate any film in the programme that you see with 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 stars. (1 for the worst and 5 for the best ). The total number of critics will be limited to the first 30 to sign up.

    Please rate the films as soon as you see them.  But the stars will only appear on FNE after the official screening of the film.


     As an added bonus the first 5 critics who sign up AND who also send us their stars for the films they see each day during the festival will get as a token of our appreciation a gift from FNE partner the Polish Film Institute of a beautiful box set of 7 Polish Oscar candidates films with English subtitles:

    • W ciemności (In Darkness), dir. A.Holland
    • Katyń (Katyn), dir. A.Wajda
    • Sztuczki (Tricks), dir. A.Jakimowski
    • Piotruś i wilk (Peter & the Wolf) dir. S.Templeton ; Katedra(Cathedral) dir. T.Baginski
    • Essential Killing, dir. J.Skolimowski

    But remember you not only have to sign up. You need to send us your ratings DAILY for the films you see to receive the box set.

    *Members of the Cannes FIPRESCI jury or any other official Cannes jury are excluded from participation. Only the first 30 to sign up will be accepted. Others who sign up will be kept in reserve in case some of those who register fail to send in their ratings.

    DVD box with Polish Oscar Candidates published this year. The boxes are quite beautifully published and include survey of couple of worth-watching Polish films from the last ten years. Of course, all films are with English subtitles.
