The story begins when a worker is severely injured in a factory run by the family of Kadir. Kadir is forced to conspire in a cover-up that alters the lives of the people involved.
The film was shot in July 2019 and the producers were at the connecting cottbus seeking gap funding of 35,000 EUR and post-production partners, as well as sales agents. The film is produced by Kuyu Film and Karma Film of Turkey and Romania’s Hai Hui Entertainment, a sister company of Libra Film.
Giurgiu told FNE that Romania was a minority coproducer. The film’s budget is 220,000 EUR. It won the 25,000 EUR sound post-production award at the Transilvania IFF Pitch Stop.
Nacar is pursuing an MFA in film directing at Columbia University. He holds a degree in law and also graduated from the film and TV faculty in Istanbul. He was selected for Berlinale Talent 2019 and had two short films in Berlin.
The film is scheduled to be completed by the beginning of 2020. The producers are now in the process of applying to film festivals.
