The film is written and directed by Minos Nikolakakis and produced by Minos Nikolakakis, Vassilis Economou, Vicky Miha, and Bostjan Virc. The project previously participated in Berlinale Talents and Midpoint Shorts.

The film combines magic realism with a work environment. A misanthropic guard at an asphalt plant switches identities with his tyrannical boss. The author/director was inspired by his own experience working at an asphalt plant. The guard-turned-tyrant finds the only way to save his company is by sacrificing people who are a menace to society to the asphalt mixer.

Greek company Asphalt is producing in coproduction with Slovenia’s Studio Virc and Greek company asterisk*. The project is supported by the Greek Film Center and Hellenicki Techniki.
