The Czech/Slovak box office hit Bathory signed sales agreements with Germany and Hong Kong during the Cannes film market.

The historical drama from Juraj Jakubisko sold theatrical and DVD rights in Germany and all rights in Hong Kong. A fall theatrical release is planned for both territories. Sales agent Vision Films (www.visionfilms.net) is in serious negotiation to sell all rights in Poland, Japan, and Korea, with several other territories also in discussions.

Speaking with FNE Deana Horvathova-Jakubiskova, producer of the Czech/Slovak/British/Hungarian co-production, said, "Interest in the film is very good now. We were invited to a lot of festivals. And what is really good is that there is interest from Europe, Asia, from all the continents."
