CLUJ-NAPOCA: After four feature films - Rage/Furia, The Paper Will Be Blue/Hârtia va fi albastră, Boogie and Tuesday, After Christmas/Marţi, după Crăciun - screenwriter/director Radu Muntean has directed Visiting Room, a long documentary about Romanian prisoners who found their soul-mates while being confined.

Muntean co-directed together with Alex Baciu, who usually co-writes his films.

Visiting Room/Vorbitor is an HBO (www.hbo.ro) production with Carmen Harabagiu, Aurelian Nica and Andrei Creţulescu producing. Dragoş Vâlcu is the executive producer from Multimedia Est. The DOP is Tudor Lucaciu, who has worked on all of Muntean's previous projects.

"Our intention was not to judge, but to talk about people who don't have anything to lose and for whom love might be the only hope of a better future," Muntean said.

Filming took place in 2011 in six Romanian prisons. The film premiered on HBO Romania on 15 December 2011 and was awarded Best Documentary at GOPO Gala (www.premiilegopo.ro) in March 2012.
