The director told FNE that the starting point was Luc Besson's hit, Léon.
"I was thinking what might happened to Matilde when she grew up, and I imagined her coming to Romania and taking a job until one day when she quits and becomes a hit woman. From that point I wrote the independent story of a young Romanian woman who wants to be a hit woman. She starts looking for a first contract but soon she steps on another hit man's territory."
Terapie pentru crimă/Therapy for Murder (http://terapiepentrucrima.ro/) had a 30-day shoot in Bucharest in August-September 2011. Vasilescu is producing through EastMovies. The budget of 100,000 EUR was covered by the director himself. He told FNE he wanted a commercial film, "a film for the audience, but with an European flavour to it." He cast a famous pop singer as leading actress, Claudia Pavel aka Cream.
The cast also includes Cătălin Ciurdar, Vlad Corbeanu, Robert Radoveanu and George Constantinescu. Vlad Petrea is the DOP. The film will be distributed by Bright Film to 80% of the Romanian market.
